I have sciatic nerve pain, is there a path to relief?

Age – 92. I have been given vicodan, too strong. I take Ibuprofen 600MG, every six hours. How long will this pain and suffering last? Sometimes I can barely stand. Will it go away? (Question submitted by a relative) http://bit.ly/n7fncg
