Does it take you longer to pass your driving test if you have type 1 diabetes?

Hellooo. I have type 1 diabetes and in about a years time i will hopefully be learning to start driving but i am a bit wary about it. Will it take me longer to apply for driving and will i have to go through anything specific like a medical test? Can anybody help me? http://bit.ly/nML5sJ
